“Nutcracker” Mini-Series

Seeking Sugar Plum Fairies!

We’re putting together a “Nutcracker” mini-series to give young dancers a sample of this iconic holiday ballet.

Over the course of five Saturday sessions, instructor Beverly Holskin will teach a complete routine to the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” and possibly part of the “Waltz of Flowers” if time permits.

The choreography and pace of instruction will be geared toward beginner dancers between the ages of 5-7. (Depending on interest, the choreo could be adapted for older or younger children. So if you have a child close to this age range who would be interested in joining, please contact us to discuss.)

During the latter half of the last session, parents will be invited to come into the studio to watch an informal finale performance. Kids are encouraged to wear purple, pink or white as a “costume.”

Space is limited, so if you’re already daydreaming of dancing holiday sweets, royal rat battles and magical presents, sign up now!
