If you’ve got a kid who loves music and movement, why not celebrate their big day with an epic dance party?
Private children’s parties include 45-75 minutes of dancing and games, with time before or after for socializing, snacking and birthday cake. Each party is unique because our expert instructors customize the activities based on the birthday child’s interests and favorite songs. Adults can relax while the kids have fun dancing around — or join in if you feel so inspired! — then leave the cleanup to us.
For young children (ages 2-5), we recommend a mix of creative movement and line dances. Along with hopping, leaping and spinning, the kids will get a chance to play games, act out stories and make up their own silly dance moves. We’ll even bring out musical instruments so they can rock out to their own beats.
For older children (ages 5-11), we have kid-friendly variations of Zumba, Hip-Hop, Cardio Pop and several other genres. Or go for a little of everything with our Dance Party Mix, a combination of line dances and movement-based games that will get even “non-dancers” on the floor. Kids will get a chance to lead their own moves, “dance battle,” play “freeze dance” and freestyle. And, of course, there will be plenty of upbeat, easy-to-follow routines set to the latest pop hits (only clean versions!) as well as party favorites like “Watch Me Whip,” “Follow the Leader,” and “Cupid Shuffle,” to name a few.
Parties can be scheduled at our Rittenhouse location on Saturday or Sunday afternoons after 2:30 p.m.

Sure! Just be mindful of the studio space. There’s a small area in the front for parents to socialize, and the dance floor can accommodate about 25 kids before it starts to feel crowded.
A $50 nonrefundable deposit and signed contract is required to hold your party date. Contracts will be emailed to you for electronic signature. Find full details on our policies page.
Since we have ongoing classes at the studio, we ask that you arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start of your party. We’ll make sure to get everything set up efficiently so that you can start on time. It may also be helpful to have one adult come early with refreshments while the other brings the kids at the start time.
Any clothing that’s comfortable to move around in. Shoes are not necessary for creative movement parties. Sneakers are a good choice for older kids doing hip-hop or Dance Party Mix. If it’s rainy or snowy outside, we appreciate it if the kids put on a clean/dry pair after arriving to help us keep the dance floor dry.
Nope, just the kids! However, please keep in mind that our studio space is limited, and likewise we only have a few chairs in our “lobby” area – so if you have a lot of parents who aren’t participating in the activities, they may be “standing room” only.
Tips are not necessary but always greatly appreciated if you feel your instructor has created a memorable experience. Please note that we cannot process tips via credit card. Any amount is appreciated, 10-20% of the party cost is a general guideline.
Anything you like, we just ask that all refreshments (other than water bottles) be kept in the front part of the studio, off the dance floor. (Certain foods, like pizza, can stain the wood dance floor). We also prefer juice boxes for smaller children to help minimize spills. Alcoholic drinks for adults are fine, too. We recommend serving food toward the end of the party, after the children have finished dancing.
Sure, but please notify us in advance so we can plan accordingly. You will also likely need to add extra rental time unless you want to dramatically cut into the dancing program. We suggest scheduling other activities right at the start of the party or about an hour in, after the kids are tired out from dancing.
