Tweens & Teens

Dance, Drama & Musical Theater for ages 9+!

Technique classes, collaborative scene work, performance opportunities and more! Ideal for older, more focused students with at least a year of dance or drama experience.

NEW “All Stars” Program

Older students (4th graders and up) will push their talents to the next level over the course of a semester-long All Stars session. Drama “All Stars” will rehearse a full length play or musical, while dancers will elevate their technical skills and put together original choreographies. Toward the end of each semester, the All Stars crew will produce their own informal showcase at the studio for friends and family.

  • Please register by August 15 to help us plan staffing.
  • Fall session starts the first week of September.
  • $330 per 60-minute class, $412.50 per 75-minute class, or $495 per 90-minute class for the full fall semester (15 weeks total)

Already enrolled in our afterschool program?

Contact us to add “All Stars” to your registration instead of signing up below. Students in our afterschool program pay only $25 extra per month for one “All Stars” class, or $40/month for multiple.

Motivated dancers will expand their creativity as they work toward a student-driven recital. The first half of each class will focus on jazz and ballet technique through drills, passes across the floor and combinations. In the second half, the students will create and polish their own routines, with guidance and coaching from the instructor.

Choose Mondays, Wednesdays, or both:

Young performers will take their stage presence up a notch as they put together a full production. Each class will begin with improv and vocal warm-ups. Then, the students will dive into rehearsing and staging a musical or play. If time permits, they may also have the chance to develop some short, original skits.

Choose Tuesdays, Thursdays, or both:

Dance Technique Classes

Build up a strong foundation of classical ballet technique, focusing on body placement, turn out and coordinating port de bras (arms) with footwork. Class starts with barre work to build stamina, followed by center floor exercises and combinations, and finished off with a cool down. Prior ballet experience preferred, but focused beginners are also welcome.

Depending on the week, students will work on either jazz or lyrical technique, or a mix of both. Class always begins with warm-ups and conditioning, then continues with passes across the floor and combinations. Open to all levels.
