Ages 8+ (All Stars)

“All Stars” Program

Dance, Drama & Musical Theater for ages 8+!

Technique classes, collaborative scene work, performance opportunities and more!

Students will push their talents to the next level over the course of a semester-long session, producing a full-length musical. Toward the end of each session, the cast shares what they’ve put together at their own in-studio performance for friends, family and our ZAZZ community.

Ideal for older, more focused students with at least a year of dance. or drama experience.

Casting will be determined during the first two weeks of the sessions based on interest and group workshops – no need to prepare an audition!

Classes will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students are required to attend at least two days per week, with the option to enroll in all three for the full experience.

  • Wednesday will focus on full-cast (large ensemble) rehearsals, so all students should plan to attend.
  • 3rd Grade (younger group): Recommended schedule is Monday & Wednesday
  • Grades 4+ (older group): Recommended schedule is Wednesday & Friday

Due to the collaborative nature of this program, weekly attendance is required.  Classes will be led by a substitute if an instructor is out.

Technique Classes

DANCE

For kids who love to move and want to strengthen their skills. Throughout the semester, students will focus on two to three dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, lyrical and/or hip hop. Dancers will learn technique, terminology, progressions, combinations, and performance skills while improving strength, flexibility, coordination and musicality.

Tap

Build upon the basics! Kids with at least 1 year of tap experience will review and continue learning tap sounds, terminology, timing and rhythm in this continuing beginner-leveled class. Each week, they’ll practice a variety of technical exercises and apply them to musical concepts. In addition to breaking down the sounds, they’ll also travel across the floor and learn short combinations.

SHOW CHOIR

If you love singing, don’t miss out on this opportunity to add harmonies and basic movements to lots of different songs.

Afterschool Program & Drop-In Classes:

Please note that older students are welcome to join in any classes listed as “all ages.” If those classes have large enough rosters, we split out a section specifically for students in higher grades.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Hoping to audition for a dance team or school play? Or maybe you just love the arts and want to keep pushing your technique? From dance to vocals to piano, we have you covered! Our team has years of experience teaching a variety of dance genres to students of all ages. View our private lesson packages here to schedule private or semi-private sessions.

ZAZZ Dance Team

Not currently offered on our schedule; must have a minimum of 5 dancers to add this. Interested? Email us!

Get pumped for big extensions, sparkles and ALL the piZAZZ as you perform jazz and pop routines with our youth team. Designed for self-motivated students who are willing to put in the hard work to improve their technique at twice-weekly practices. Instead of traveling to expensive competitions, we’ll focus on local performance opportunities at neighborhood festivals and parades. We’ll work directly with interested families to set practice schedules, performance dates and costumes.
